Our roots trace all the way back to 1844, when a group of pioneers started something different: a co-operative store owned by the community, which helped them buy affordable, quality food during a time of poverty. From a local shop in Rochdale, to the UK’s largest consumer co-operative today – we continue to be here to meet the needs of our millions of member owners.
